Black and white feature very strongly in the Autumn / Winter 2010 collection from Junior Gaultier.  These three pieces are just a preview of what is available now for girls.  All highly desirable and full of Gaultier style, these will be popular items this coming season.

The black and white pleated wool skirt has a fine weave, but the fabric is soft to touch unlike the tweed-like skirts I remember from my childhood!  Teamed with biker style boots this is one skirt that all girls will approve of.  My favourite outfit above is the black quilted coat and skirt set shown here in the middle.  Worn with thick tights and patent ballet pumps for Autumn, and then with boots, hat and gloves when the weather turns colder, it is a striking outfit that is emphasised by the faux fur trims.  Finally the wool and cashmere mix pinafore is an up-to-date version of the classic girl’s pinafore.  With a bubble hem and trendy side pockets this pinafore can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion.

One thing about having holidays is that it is always lovely to come home although it means piles of washing and shopping to do!  I’ve been dying to get back to my pc and update my websites – apologies for those of you who have been coming back to the site expecting to find more frequent updates.  I will endeavour to select a holiday next time that gives me better mobile broadband access.

Whilst many of our favourite brands are currently spoiling us for choice with their new Autumn / Winter 2010 collections (many of these items will feature on Kids Posh Togs in the coming weeks), I had to bring you a raincoat today.  Not only did it catch my eye, but perhaps it there is some kind of Freudian connection due to it raining on every single day bar one of my holiday!

This ‘Spot’ raincoat from Hatley is a fabulous bright red colour with white spots so it looks cheerful even if the weather isn’t.  Lined in white terry towelling it is a cosy jacket too and has a hood and two pockets.

How come things never turn out the way you plan them?  Looking forward to 2 weeks away (preferably with a bit of sunshine) I set off full of hope for a family break that ensured plenty of rest and relaxation, but with part of my mind reserved for a spot of updating this website during quiet moments.  Armed with my laptop and mobile broadband, I had it all worked out.  Not only have we experienced wind and rain everyday, but also until now I have had no Internet access at all!  Today it is torturously slow, but with dogged determination I am hoping to all least be able to bring you something new today.

This outfit is machine washable.

Plain black leather school shoes will be a popular purchase over the next month or so, in time for the start of the next academic year.  Personally I prefer to be organised and buy all the uniforms and stationary for my boys at the start of the holidays so not only do I make sure that stores don’t run out of the items I want, but also so I can get all the labels sewn on and bags ready well before they are required so I can enjoy my time off!
