Pretty in pink – this cute little pair of deliciously soft cotton trousers and even prettier top is a great set of clothing for everyday wear for baby girls.
The trousers have an elasticated waist for easy dressing and comfort and the spotted fabric is further enhanced by the addition of a pretty frilled edge on the leg hems. The top has a contrasting floral print with the addition of an appliqued dog on the front.
This set is part of the new baby range from Joules, and is available in 4 sizes from newborn to 12 months.
Both items are machine washable.

The long awaited Spring 2010 Collection from Monnalisa is finally here. This gorgeous pink t-shirt is just one item from some seriously pretty and feminine clothes for girls. Judging by the rate the range became sold out last year, I would guess that sales will be pretty buoyant again this year.
Ruffles and frills feature again this year, but Monnalisa push the boundaries of what is normally expected with young girl’s clothing. Take a closer inspection of this t-shirt – especially the sleeves. Different textures and designs have been worked together to create the large roses and bows that give this t-shirt the wow-factor.
Keep this site bookmarked to view other pieces from Monnalisa as they come in.

This lovely smart winter jacket for girls is made from a quality 100% wool in green and has many stylish features. This season has seen a great many coats and jackets for women having pleats and frills, and this jacket is similar to those.
The basic shape of the jacket is fairly traditional, but it is brought right up-to-date with the frilled collar. Turn it around and you will find two half frills on the back. A really smart jacket that would look good whatever the occasion.

It all depends on taste I suppose, but whilst some people prefer a knitted beanie hat or even pompom hat in winter, I prefer a trapper hat like the one shown here. There’s something so gorgeous about a cute little face peering out from below the visor whilst the rest of him is wrapped up against the cold.
This hat is made from a khaki coloured corduroy which has a soft and warm wintry feel to it. Lined with deep curly fleece, the combination of these two fabrics not only looks great, but feels good and keeps out the cold too. The flaps can be fastened up like shown in the image, or pulled down to give extra protection from the wind for the ears. Either way, the hat looks great.

After another heavy snowfall during the night, it doesn’t seem as if we will ever be clear of snow! This week saw the children going back to school after the Christmas break (fortunately neither of my boys found their schools closed unlike many other children up and down the country). However, it has also been a frantic time for me trying to obtain suitable wellies for them to wear. Neither really young nor adult, I have found it nearly impossible to find wellies in this ‘middle age group’. I then came across some snow boots which to my job have turned out to be 100 times better than wellies.
Out in the snow myself I have found that traditional wellies do keep your feet dry, but the thin layer of rubber does nothing to keep your toes warm! Far better to buy your children some snow boots or something like these muck boots from Joules. The thick rubber sole is chunky and gives better stability in the snow and ice than wellies. Also, a soft fleecy lining is wonderful at keeping feet warm.
As the name suggests, these ‘Muck boots’ were designed for mucking out the horse yard, but there’s no reason not to use them for that purpose and also in this snow, making them even better value for money.

With the sub-zero temperatures continuing around Britain for the foreseeable future, even if you’re not planning on a ski-ing trip this winter your children will benefit from these ski gloves. These gloves give great protection against the wind and snow and have a soft insulated lining for comfort. The breathable fabric means that hands won’t get clammy. With an elasticated wrist the glove not only fits snuggly but will prevent snow reaching down into the glove and causing hands to become cold and wet as does the extended length of the glove.
These gloves are available in 3 sizes to fit the age range of 6-11 years.

A communion or wedding outfit is complete with a pair of smart white gloves. This pair fits ages 6-12 years and really finishes off an outfit.
The elegant gloves are made from pure white stretchy nylon and spandex material so they will make a comfortable fit that won’t hang or bag. Decorated with pearly beads on the top side with the plain fabric underneath. The gloves also have a beaded fabric bow on the top around the wrist.

The christening of a baby is a really important day and their first big event of their lives. Therefore it is understandable why many parents place such importance on it and want a special outfit to commemorate the significance of the event. For some people, a simple outfit that can be worn repeatedly by the baby is their choice, whilst others select an outfit that is intended for the christening day only.
This exquisite christening dress from Loica Bonini is a true luxury item with its simple design and understated elegance will prove to be a lasting heirloom piece that will look stunning for generation after generation. The dress has a square neck, short sleeves and masses of tiny pleats that create a full skirt attached to the yoke of the dress. Suitable for both boys and girls.

With the freezing snowy conditions set to continue, if you haven’t already stocked up with plenty of warm clothing for your children, now is really the best time to buy. With generous sales being offered by many stores, you can snap up a bargain or two.
This lovely light blue knitted dress from Boden is super soft thanks to the touch of cashmere in the fabric, and it looks great teamed with thick tights and boots. An alternative purple version is also available, but both versions are selling out quickly – especially now they have been reduced in the Boden Winter sale.
Take time to browse around the site for your daughter or son, and maybe have a look for something to treat yourself (and partner) too!
