Most traditionally long styled christening robes are made from a silk or lace fabric, but this one from Marie Chantal is made from 100% cotton.  Ideal for less formal christenings and baptisms yet suitable for those who love the traditional look and want to have an heirloom outfit, this robe has lots of charm.  The centre panel on the dress is a mass of tiny pin-tuck pleats with a narrow lacy edge down the sides and around the waist and neck detail.

Plain black leather school shoes will be a popular purchase over the next month or so, in time for the start of the next academic year.  Personally I prefer to be organised and buy all the uniforms and stationary for my boys at the start of the holidays so not only do I make sure that stores don’t run out of the items I want, but also so I can get all the labels sewn on and bags ready well before they are required so I can enjoy my time off!
