Autumn is my favourite time of year and I love the clothing that goes with the season too.  I’m not a huge fan of the sun and prefer to keep covered up, so a return to long sleeves and cosy tops is much more my thing.

It all depends on taste I suppose, but whilst some people prefer a knitted beanie hat or even pompom hat in winter, I prefer a trapper hat like the one shown here.  There’s something so gorgeous about a cute little face peering out from below the visor whilst the rest of him is wrapped up against the cold.

This hat is made from a khaki coloured corduroy which has a soft and warm wintry feel to it.  Lined with deep curly fleece, the combination of these two fabrics not only looks great, but feels good and keeps out the cold too.  The flaps can be fastened up like shown in the image, or pulled down to give extra protection from the wind for the ears.  Either way, the hat looks great.

Most kids are more style conscious these days than when I was a child, and it isn’t just the girls who cause angst with their parents when buying clothes.  Boys too are getting in on the act.  My own 11 year old has just been treated to his first shopping experience when he was given (almost) free range over the choice of clothing.  All part of growing up I suppose, but I can see disagreements looming in the not too distant future.
