Chloé
The fashion house of Chloé was founded in Paris during 1952 by Gaby Aghion. Gaby, the Egyptian-born free spirit, with her business partner, developed a range that was very feminine and flirty and oozed style and individuality. It captured the essence of post-war Paris, which was youthful, modern and flew in the face of convention.
Chloé is perhaps most famous for being the first fashion house to create prêt-à-porter (ready-to-wear) collections.
Original devlotees included the fashion icons of the day, Brigitte Bardot, Grace Kelly and Jackie O, with their modern day sisters Kate Moss and Sienna Miller.
At various times during Chloé’s history, talented designers such as Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney and Martine Sitbon have ensured that Chloé items remain both timeless yet up-to-date.
