Dolce & Gabbana
Dolce & Gabbana was created in 1985 and has it’s headquarters in Milan, Italy. The company was founded by Domenico Dolce who was born near Palermo, Sicily and Stefano Gabbana who was born in Milan. They cater for the high end of the fashion market and products now include footwear and handbags, in addition to the original clotheswear.
The Dolce & Gabbana business is split into classic pieces, designed to be timeless and representing the expensive luxury end of the market - this is called Dolce&Gabbana (no spaces between the words). In contrast, a more informal fun part of the business concentrates on trend-setting products, and is known as D&G. Under this umbrella, children under the age of 11 are catered for by a separate line called D&G Junior.
Dolce & Gabbana are very popular designers and have designed clothes for Madonna, Monica Bellucci, Kylie Minogue and Isabella Rossellini to name a few.
