This beautiful skating coat conjures up an image of a Victorian winter scene with children skating on large frozen lakes.  It seems natural to call it a skating coat!

For all occasions where you want your daughter to look smart this winter, wearing this coat over her outfit will give fantastic results.  The grey fabric is in the classic herringbone style with a faux fur trim around the sleeve cuffs, bottom of the coat and around the neck.  The tiny bodice is fastened by two contrasting buttons that compliment the faux fur, and the full ‘A’ line shaped coat skirt falls below.

When setting up the Kids Posh Togs website, the aim was to bring you a selection of quality children’s clothing that was a bit special and as such it was unlikely that you would find similar pieces on the High Street.  Whilst the emphasis is on classic styles we have aimed to bridge the generation gap with modern pieces that mix well with more traditional designs.  You will find items that are affordable for all pockets, and also some that are rather more expensive yet, we believe, well worth the price.  One such example is this fabulous silver skirt from I Pinco Pallino.

The stretchy waist of this skirt sits on top of the slightly pleated full skirt that is so beautiful we can understand why I Pinco Pallino have such a loyal following.  You really need to have a close look to appreciate the true beauty of this skirt.  Clever embroidery has been randomly woven into the fabric, which is actually the lettering that forms ‘I Pinco Pallino’.  Look again at the hem and you’ll see the brand name in smaller embroidery all around the bottom.  At either side of the waist are pockets that have been adorned with silver petersham and velvet ribbons.

Currently available in sizes from 2 – 14 years, this skirt makes such a statement it will be worn again and again.

Grey is set to be a key colour again this Autumn/Winter which pleases me as I love it!  I also love the knitted dress and these two items from the Monnalisa collection for girls and really fine examples.

The two little girls are wearing the angora mix knitted dress with a glorious lace pleated skirt, which had a tulle underskirt to give fullness and shape.  The long sleeves are edged in a fancy trim that matches the outline of the round neck, which has a keyhole fastening at the back.  A lovely striped ribbon ’belt’ with two bows is attached to the dress just above the join between the skirt and the top.  A really lovely dress that can be worn for day wear, but also dressed up for more formal occasions.  Believe it or not, but you can even machine wash this dress at low temperatures.

The other dress is similar in that it too has a angora mix knitted top with a contrasting bottom half.  However, this dress has short sleeves and a roll neck and the lace skirt is very different to the other one.  A knitted belt ties at the back of the dress.  Again, this one can be machine washed.

Both styles of dress are available in various sizes between 2 – 10 years.

Pretty in pink – this cute pinafore dress from Dior looks great with a cream or white skinny rib polo jumper underneath, woolly tights and boots.  It also looks good as a sleeveless dress in summer.
