Kids Posh Togs

It will soon be party time again, and if your daughter needs a new dress this season you won’t be disappointed with the wealth of beautiful collections available this year.  The 4 dresses above are just examples of what you can choose this year, and believe me it was a hard decision narrowing down my selection to just 4!

The first 2 dresses are from Lesy and are perhaps my favourites but there are a number of other Lesy dresses that you may prefer.  The stunning red dress has a simple and traditional shape to it with the round neck, short sleeves with a fuller skirt falling beneath and fitted bodice, but it is the fabric that makes it really special.  Covered with a delicate tulle that is covered with fabric rosebuds that give it gorgeous texture as well as visual appeal.  Texture is equally strong on the blue dress but this time it is the luxurious silk velvet that gives it appeal.  Panels give the dress shape that is semi-fitted at the top and gradually flares out from the waist to give a fuller effect that is enhanced with tulle underskirting.  The dress is finished off with pretty velvet and chiffon ruffles around the neck, sleeves and hem.

The green Monnalisa dress has a ribbed front with a beautiful silk skirt that is puffed out by the layers of pink tulle petticoat underneath.  Have a closer look at the embroidered flowers that adorn the skirt and the detachable velvet corsage on the chest.

Finally in this selection, a quirky dress from Simonetta which features penguins and polar bears all over the design.  Yes really!  In luxurious velvet the dress is cuddly and well as cute and will be a really talking point.

We just love this gorgeous black silk velvet dress from Miss Grant.  Making a fabulous party dress worn on its own with pretty black patent ballet pumps, the tiny puffed sleeves in the same velvet as the body of the dress really shows off the sequined collar, which is further highlighted by the detachable fur and diamante bow.

This is a versatile dress however, and the overall look of the dress can be dramatically altered by teaming it with a long-sleeved roll neck top as shown in the image.  Black and white houndstooth features in lots of collections for the forthcoming season, and here it works wonderfully with this dress.  Wear it with thick opaque tights and boots for a very posh day look.

Lesy is high quality hand-crafted Italian design at its best.  For those in the know, Lesy has been producing children’s clothing since 1964, but it was a closely guarded secret in the fine shops and department stores in Italy with overseas distribution only occurring over the last 30 years or so.

Take a look for yourself – just look at the beautiful sequins and fabric roses that adorn the dresses.  These dresses aren’t cheap, but if you’re looking for something truly outstanding for your daughter it will be worth every penny!

Judging by the examples of the 2010 Collection from Miss Grant  and Microbe above, ruffles and frills will be big news this coming season.  A very feminine look is achieved with these pretty, floaty dresses made from fabrics such as tulle with removable corsages and pearly bead necklaces.  Additional accessories are available from Miss Grant such as handbags and beautiful fascinators, so if your daughter is attending a wedding or other formal occasion this year, you can be assured that Miss Grant items will provide a fantastic outfit where she will look outstanding.

What a dreamy dress!  Made from beautiful 100% silk, this dress is so floaty and pretty, it is hard to imagine any girl not loving it.  Soft and cool, it will feel lovely on the skin during the hot summer months teamed with pretty sandals.

Closer inspection is really required to take in all the true beauty of this dress.  With a deep ruffled frill on the bottom of the dress, and a similarly deep but slightly less frilled trim around the neck edge, there are also smocked trims around the pockets too.  The dreamy look is enhanced by the blend of blue, green and lilac hues, which make this dress from Roberto Cavalli one of my favourites this year.
