Sailor Suits and Dresses for Children |
Sailor suits are still probably the most sought after item for a baby boy’s christening or naming ceremony, and certainly for those who wish their baby to wear a more modern outfit that can be worn again, unlike the traditional unisex long gown that will be reserved just for christenings. It is a favourite for small children to wear at weddings too, and the 4 examples of very different outfits but all with the nautical theme, show just why they are so popular.
Ranging from the pale blue all-in-one romper and matching hat set, the white trousers and waistcoat set, the pale blue silk two-piece, to the white dungaree and shirt with hat set that can be worn with the shirt on the outside so it resembles a shirt and trouser set, or with the shirt tucked into the dungarees – either way it looks great.

The two little dresses above bring the nautical theme to girls too. A traditional blue and white combination always looks good, but for a modern take why not choose bright red and white with a gorgeous red bow?
