Susan Lawson has a beautiful range of christening outfits for both boys and girls.  Some of the traditionally styled gowns are unisex and each come with a matching hat (or bonnet for girl’s gowns).  Also in the range are silk romper suit and hat sets for boys in either ivory or a mix of ivory and pale blue.

What I like about this gown is that it is specifically design with boys in mind.  Whilst the overall shape is similar to a traditional long gown, the top part is very much a modern ‘boy shape’ with the waistcoat, giving you the best of both worlds.  

Made from ivory dupion silk, this gown has 3/4 length sleeves that are slightly puffed at the cuffs and shoulder seams.  The Peter Pan collar has piped edges, and the neat little waistcoat is made from an ivory jacquard weave silk for contrasting texture.

This christening gown is currently reduced in price (as at 21st January 2009) and is available in 2 sizes:  0-6 months and 6-12 months.  All orders are hand-made in England with an expected delivery time of 10 days.
