Kids Posh Togs

Readers of Kids-Posh-Togs who have been visiting the site for some time will know that I love classic hand-knit matinee jackets for babies.  Nothing beats a new baby in a simple sleepsuit with a knitted jacket and bonnet on the top.  A timeless look that is practical, warm and cosy too.

This jacket and bonnet set from Ralph Lauren is knit in a sampler design with multiple panels of varying stitches often seen on aran jumpers, including moss and cable stitch.  There is also a central panel with 3 intricate coloured pictures stitched, featuring a bird, flower and heart with the Ralph Lauren initials either side of the flower.  The jacket is fastened by multi-coloured buttons and has been lined with a cotton floral fabric.

The bonnet is equally beautiful and knit in aran style stitches with a little buttoned tab under the chin to hold it in place.

This set is made from 100% cotton, is machine washable and is available in two sizes: 3 and 6 months.
