Sometimes images are pretty good at giving you a realistic impression of something. Unfortunately, in this case the image is really not enough to show the true beauty of this christening robe from Sarah Louise – it really is gorgeous.
The short-sleeved full length gown in white or ivory is available in 3 sizes to fit: 3, 6 and 12 months. Whilst the bodice is quite close fitting and the skirt nice and full, it hasn’t been made in two parts joined together. The bodice has in fact been made to fit by incorporating a beautiful smocked panel in a lovely diamond shape smocking that finishes in a scalloped edging from which the skirt gently hangs in neat folds. It is a really clever design. For the finishing touches, exquisite embroidery has been added around the bottom section of the skirt and similar embroidery can be found on the accompanying bonnet.
